12/30/2018 0 Comments Best Headset For Skype MacI think bumping the mute button is an issue w/me. I do have to toggle between apps while on calls and I am trying to search the Skype pages for a discussion board or advice about using other apps while on a call, but can't find anything. I was curious if that can cause issues w/the other person not hearing me. I know this is not a Skype forum, but if you have any knowledge on that topic, please share. My grant work budget will pay for a new headset and I like the one you recommended, but it may be a little too much. Thinking of buying the Audio.625 from Plantronics. Appreciate the advice and suggestion. Wired headsets can have different lengths, but will always be a tether between user and device. A wired headset, however, will not have any connection delays that a wireless headset may have. The ultimate headset for Skype will not be cheap, but, it should last for quite a while. Which other apps are you using? - when you switch apps. Because you may need some software to handle passing the audio around to other devices / apps. Soundflower & line in are a start. A new headset probably won't cure this if you are having conflicts with apps but a new headset might be easier to use / more confortable. Make sure your new headset comes with the usb adapter, fyi. As the input on your PB will accept line level input, not mic (there is a difference). Message was edited by: kmac1036.
